Case No. 2. Pre-emption Certificate No. 59.
THOMAS SHEPHERD, of Remuera, settler.
48a. 2r. Op., Forty-eight acres and two
roods, situated at Remuera, to the eastward of
Mount Hobson.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chief Kati.
Consideration—£50, one cloak, and one
double-barrelled gun.
Case No. 3. Pre-emption Certificate No. 64.
JOSEPH MAY, of Epsom, settler.
62 acres, Sixty-two acres, situate at Re-
muera, near Mount St. John, Epsom; bound-
ed on the north by land purchased from the
natives by Messre. Hare, Turner, and Austin,
2553 links, sed-by-land belonging to the na-
tive chief Wetere, 2129 links; on the east by
land the property of Messrs. Dilworth and
Henry, 1833 links; on the west by the Ma-
nukau or Epsom road, 775 links; and on the
south by land belonging to Mr. Hart, 4220
links.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chief Wetere.
Consideration—£33 10s.
Case No. 4. Pre-emption Certificate No. 95.
DANIEL LYNCH, of Epsom, settler..
20 acres, Twenty acres, situated at Re-
muera; bounded on one side by land belong-
ing to Mr. J. Scott; on another by land be-
longing to Mr. Dilworth; on another by land
belonging to Mr. Turfer; and on the other
by a line running from the Tamaki road to
One Tree Hill.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chiefs Wetere, Kawacyκας Κρίλια
Putini.
Consideration—£40.
Case No. 5. Pre-emption Certificate No. 194.
GEORGE MAY, of Epsom, settler.
8 acres, Eight acres, situated near Mount
Hobson; and bounded on the north by land
belonging to Mr. Charles Robinson; on the
south by land belonging to Mr. Henry Hayr;
on the east by land belonging to Mr. Dil-
worth and on the west by land belonging
to Mr. William Turner.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chief Wetere.
Consideration—£20.
Case No. 6. Pre-emption Certificate, No. 84.
CHARLES H. MCINTOSH, of Auckland, gen-
tleman.
401 1/2 acres. Four hundred and one acres
and a half. The Island, called "Taratoroa,"
situated in the Frith of the Thames, a little to
the eastward of Weiheke, near the small
Island he has recently purchased with His
Excellency's consent, from the native chiefs
Ngatai and Reuinga, containing about four
hundred acres; also, a small rocky Island,
"Motu Kaha Kaha," containing about one acre
and a half.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chief Ngatai and others.
Consideration—£32 cash, 4 breeding ewes,
10 blankets, 1 piece of cotton duck, and 1
black cloth waistcoat.
