commencing at the corner of Mr. Meurant's
allotment, and extending six hundred and
thirty-eight yards in a southerly direction
along that road.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chief Wetere,

Case No. 12. Pre-emption Certificate No. 8.
—Joseph Young, of Auckland, settler.
5 or 6 acres, Five or six acres, situated on
the south-east side of Mount Hobson, and
about five chains in from the south side of the
Tamaki road.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chiefs Wetere and Na Abel.
Consideration—£10.

Case No. 13. Pre-emption Certificate No. 3.
—WILLIAM CLAYTON HAYES, of Auckland,
grocer.
5 acres, Five acres, situated on the Epsom
road, and immediately under Mount St. John
on the north side, with a frontage to the Epsom
road of about 160 feet.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chief Wetere.
Consideration—£3.

Case No. 14. Pre-emption Certificate No. 17.
—JOHN FINLAY, of Epsom,
settlers.
6 acres, Six acres, situated on the north-
west side of Mount St. John, and bounded on
the one side by Mr. Aston's farm, and the
frontage to the main road.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chiefs Wetere and Na Abel.
Consideration—£7.

Case No. 15. Pre-emption Certificate No. 31.
—JAMES GAMBLE, of Auckland, shoemaker.
6a. 0r. 12p., Six acres and twelve perches,
situate at Mount Hobson, in the territory of
New Zealand.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chiefs Wetere and Abel.
Consideration—£13.

Case No. 16, Pre-emption Certificate No. 49,
—JEREMIAH O'KEEFE and DANIEL O'DO-
NOUGHUE.
87 acres, Eighty-seven acres, situated south
west of the Three Kings; bounded on the
north by Crown land, 2320 links; on the
west by land belonging to Mr. Donovan, 3708
links; on the east by native land, 4200 links;
and on the south by native land, 2300 links.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chiefs Kawau, Te Hira, and Keene.
Consideration—£15.

Case No. 17. Pre-emption Certificate No. 50.
—CHARLES HUNTER MCINTOSH, of Auck-
land, gentleman.
70 acres, Seventy acres, an island called
Pakawa, situated in the Frith of the Thames,
estimated to contain about seventy acres.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chief Ruinga.
Consideration—£20 in cash, 10 blankets,
and 23lbs tobacco.

Case No. 18. Pre-emption Certificate No. 45.
—WILLIAM POTTER, of Epsom, settler.
50a. 2r. 24p., Fifty acres, two roods, and
twenty-four perches, situate at Epsom, oppo-
site the Prince Albert Inn; bounded on the
north by land purchased from the natives by
W. Hart; on the east by native land; on
the west by the Manukau road; and on the
north by land also purchased by W. Hart.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chief Wetere.
Consideration—£50 sterling.

Case No. 19. Pre-emption Certificate No. 12.
—WILLIAM TURNER, of Auckland, gentleman.
16 acres, Sixteen acres, at Maungo Kehe,
(Mount St. John), on the Manukau road,
comprised within certain boundaries agreed
upon with the native owners. It is bounded
on the north by land applied for by Mr. Hayes
and Mr. Dilworth, 16 chains; on the west
by the Manukau road, 10 chains; being
nearly a right angled parallelogram.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chief Wetere.
Consideration—£20.

Case No. 20. Pre-emption Certificate No. 32.
—WILLIAM TURNER, of Auckland, gentleman.
16a. 1r. 19., Sixteen acres, one rood, and
nineteen perches, at Maungo Kohe, (Mount
St. John), on the Manukau road, comprised
within certain boundaries agreed upon with
the native owners. It is bounded on the
north by land applied for by Mr. Hayes and
Mr. Dilworth, 16 chains; on the west by the
Manukau road, 10 chains; being nearly a
right angled parallelogram.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chief Wetere.
Consideration—the same as under Pre-
emption Certificate No. 12.

Colonial Secretary's Office,
Auckland, 4th February, 1847.
TENDERS will be received at this Office
until noon on Monday, the 15th inst.,
from parties desirous of supplying HAY for
the service of the Government, for the ensuing
six months. The Hay to be delivered at
Mechanics' Bay.
Information respecting the terms of pay-
ment and other particulars, may be had on
application to the Superintendent of Works.
