HIS Excellency the Governer directs it
to be notified that the Government will
be prepared, on any day after the fifteenth day
of November next, to pay off any of the
Government Debentures for the sums of Five
Shillings and Ten Shillings each, upon such
debentures, (which do not bear interest) being
presented for payment at the Colonial Trea-
suries, at Auckland or Wellington.

HIS Excellency the Governor directs it to
be notified, in reference to the Deben-
ture Certificates which were issued in acknow-
ledgment of the debts of the local Government,
outstanding at the time His Excellency as-
sumed the administration of the Government,
that such Debenture Certificates, together
with the interest due thereon for any com-
plete year or years, will be paid off, on being
presented for that purpose at the Colonial
Treasuries at Auckland or Wellington, upon
any day after the 15th day of November next.

I, HENRY MATSON, a Commissioner ap-
pointed for examining and reporting on
all Clains to Compensation preferred accord-
ing to the provisions of an Ordinance, Session
7, No. 22, intituled "An Ordinance to autho-
rize Compensation in Colonial Debentures to
be made to certain Claimants to Land in the
Colony of New Zealand," do hereby notify
that I will investigate the under-mentioned
Claims at the Council Chamber, on Tuesday,
the 9th day of November, 1847, at ten o'clock
in the forenoon.
The Cases will be heard in the order in
which they stand in the following List, and
all parties interested are hereby summoned to
be in attendance with their documents and
witnesses.
