JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS
IN THE
LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.

MONDAY, 19TH OCTOBER, 1846.
PRESENT:
All the Members.
The Council met pursuant to adjournment.
The Minutes of the last Meeting were read
and confirmed.
The Attorney General moved the order
of the day for the further consideration of the
Customs' Amendment Bill, No. 2.
Bill committed, amended, reported, and
ordered to be read a third time on Tuesday,
20th October, 1846.
Mr. Kennedy gave notice that he should
move the further consideration of Destitute
Persons' Relief Bill, on Tuesday, the 20th
October.
Mr. Donnelly gave notice that he should
move the further consideration of Weights
and Measures' Bill, on Tuesday, 20th October.
Council adjourned until Tuesday, 20th
October, 1846.

TUESDAY, 20TH OCTOBER, 1846.
PRESENT:
All the Members.
The Council met pursuant to adjournment.
The Minutes of the last Meeting were read
and confirmed.
Mr. Kennedy moved the order of the day
for the further consideration of the Destitute
Persons' Relief Bill.

Bill committed, amended, and consideration
thereof, further adjourned until Wednesday,
the 21st Oct. 1846.
Mr. Donnelly moved the order of the day
for the consideration in Committee of the
Weights and Measures' Bill.
Bill committed, amended, and considera-
tion further adjourned until Wednesday,
21st October, 1846.
The Attorney General moved the order of
the day for the third reading of the Customs'
Amendment Bill, No. 2.
Bill read a third time and passed.
Council adjourned at 1/4 past 2 o'clock until
12 o'clock on Wednesday, 21st Oct, 1846.

WEDNESDAY, 21ST OCTOBER, 1846.
PRESENT:
All the Members.
The Council met pursuant to adjournment.
The Minutes of the last Meeting were read
and confirmed.
On motion of Mr. Donnelly, it was ordered
that the following Returns be laid on the
Table, viz. :-
1.—Separate returns of the annual Amounts
of the imports and exports of the northern and
southern districts of the Colony, from its
foundation, distinguishing the principal articles
of export in each district.
2.—Separate returns of the shipping entered
inwards and outwards, at the ports of each
district, distinguishing the coasting and foreign
trade.
3.—Separate returns of the number of ships
or vessels registered or licensed at and belong-
