Auckland, 1st August, 1845.
HIS Excellency the Governor has been
pleased to direct the publication of the
following Regulations, and to require the atten-
tion of the Heads of Departments thereto :-

On or before the 2d of January, April, July, and
October, Abstracts of Salaries, for the previous
quarter, are to be sent to the Colonial Treasurer,
and the several Sub-Treasurers, respectively.
and if found correct, and accompanied with the
necessary authorities, will be payable on the 8th
following.

On or before the 2d day of each month Bills of
Particulars, in the established forms for "Articles
Supplied" and "Services Performed," by Con-
tractors and others, for the Public Service, are
to be furnished, in duplicate, to the Head of the
Department on account of which the expense
has been incurred, by whom they will be placed
in Abstract and forwarded to the Treasury,
and if found correct will be payable on the 14th
of the same month.

Abstracts of Salaries or Contingencies not
sent to the Treasury in a perfect state, or unac-
companied by the necessary Vouchers, by the
time above directed, will not become payable
until the following month.

to be Police Magistrate for the district of Aka-
roa, vice C. B. Robinson, Esquire, resigned.

Acting Deputy-Postmaster-General, to appoint
Mr. W. L. HOWARD,
to be Clerk in the Post Office at Nelson.

NOTICE is hereby given, that a Public
Pound, for Cattle found Trespassing, has
been erected near the Tamaki Church, on the
road leading to Okahu, and that Mr. R. K:
Baber has been appointed the keeper.
