TENDERS FOR THE SUPPLY OF COAL
And Whereas it is thereby further enacted,
"that the said Ordinance shall come into ope-
ration within any County or District at such
time as His Excellency the Governor, with the
advice of the Executive Council, shall by Pro-
clamation appoint."

Now, therefore, I, the Governor, in pursuance
of the power and authority in me vested, by the
said in part recited Ordinance, do hereby, with
the advice of the Executive Council, appoint
that the said Ordinance shall come into opera-
tion within the District of Nelson, on Wednes-
day, the first day of October, next ensuing.

Given under my Hand, and issued
under the Public Seal of the
Colony, at Government House,
(L. S.) Auckland, this twenty-ninth day
of July, in the year of Our Lord
One thousand eight hundred and
forty-five.

send in to this Office, Tenders for sup-
plying Coals for a Steamer at Auckland.

The Tenders should specify the kind and
quality of Coal, and the price per ton, for any
quantity not less than one hundred tons-de-
livered at Auckland.

TENDERS of the Debentures of the Colo-
nial Government in exchange for the
Bills of the undersigned upon the Lords Com-
missioners of Her Majesty's Treasury, London,
will be received at this Office until noon the
4th proximo.

The amount required is about Two Thousand
Pounds.

The Tenders must be in Duplicate, and must
express in words at length the rates at which
the Bills will be taken.
Those Debentures on which interest has not
yet accrued will alone be accepted.
