Colonial Secretary's Office,
Auckland, 23d February, 1844.

NOTICE is hereby given that Tenders will
be received at this Office until noon on
Monday, the Fourth day of March next, from
persons who may desire to enter into a contract
for the erection of a Debtors Prison, and of a
Cook House, for the Debtors and Criminals
Jails conjointly, at Auckland.

Security will be required for the due per-
formance of the contract, and a declaration of
the consent of the proposed sureties is to be
annexed to the Tender.

Plans and specifications of the work may be
seen at the Office of the Superintendent of Pub-
lic Works.

Public Works.

Custom House, Auckland,
21st February, 1844.

MR. W. F. PORTER having intimated his
wish to discontinue the employment of
his Store, situated in Fort-street, as a Bonding
Warehouse, the privilege of warehousing under
Bond in the said Store is now withdrawn.

SUPREME COURT.

NOTICE is hereby given that a sitting of
the Supreme Court for the despatch of
Criminal Business will be holden at the Court
House, Auckland, on Friday the first day of
March next, at Ten o'clock in the forenoon, and
that a sitting for the despatch of Civil Business
will be holden at the Court House on Thursday,
the seventh day of March next, at the hour of
Ten o'clock in the forenoon, at which times and
place all persons under recognizances to appear
either as prosecutors, defendants, or witnesses,
are required to give their attendance.

A SPECIAL MEETING of the Justices
for the Town and District of Auckland,
will be holden on Tuesday, the 5th day of
March next, at the Police Office, Auckland, at
Eleven o'clock in the forenoon, for the purpose
of receiving Applications for the Transfer of
Publicans' Licenses.
