Case No. 454.-GEORGE YOUNG, of Wellington,
licensed victualler, claimant.

  1. One acre, more or less, being all that
    piece of ground situate upon the beach on the
    western shore of the harbour of Port Nicholson,
    in that part of the town of Wellington, now
    known as Lambton Quay, extending from a
    certain tree, to which the fence of claimant was
    formerly attached, about 350 feet in a northerly
    direction along the beach just above high water
    mark, and from the beach to the bank in the
    rear of the same.

Alleged to have been purchased in 1834, from
Raumea Takiaka, and Patekawi, chiefs of
the Kekori tribe, by claimant.
Consideration-various articles of merchan-
dize, value not stated.
Conveyance-not stated.

And I also give further Notice, that on Tues-
day, the 23rd instant, I shall open my Court, at
my Office aforesaid, at 10 o'clock in the fore-
noon, and that I shall continue to sit daily at
that hour until Monday, the 19th day of June
next, and be ready to hear any further evidence
in such of the cases already advertised as have
been commenced but not completed, and also to
investigate any of the remainder of such cases
as have not yet been entered upon.

And I do hereby give Notice, that on Monday,
the 19th day of June next, aforesaid, I shall
finally close my Court in this district, after
which no further evidence will be received in
support of any of the cases which have from
time to time been advertised for hearing.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-
mentioned Prisoner escaped from the
Gaol at Auckland, on the morning of the 3d
instant:

Name, Jaques Eliso; aged 25 years; height,
5 feet 4 inches; dark hair; dark complexion;
brown eyes.

REMARKS-Prisoner had on at the time of his
escape, glazed hat, blue man-of-war trousers,
white do., frock with blue trimmings, red shirt
underneath, and thick heavy boots.
