at the Bay of Islands, for the purpose of carry-
ing into effect certain Clauses of the "Harbour
Regulations Ordinance, Session 2, No. 15."

HARBOUR OF NELSON.

Colonial Secretary's Office,
Auckland, March 14th, 1843.

HIS EXCELLENCY the Officer administering
the Government, with the advice of the
Executive Council, has been pleased to make
the following Regulations and Appointments for
the Harbour of Nelson:--

Captain A. WAKEFIELD, R.N.,
Mr. STEPHEN CARKEEK, and the
POLICE MAGISTRATE for the time being,
to constitute a Board for the Management of
the Harbour of Nelson:

MR. STEPHEN CARKEEK to be Harbour-
Master, for the purpose of carrying into effect
certain clauses of the Harbour Regulation's
Ordinance, Session II, No. 15.

MR. JAMES CROSS to be Warden of Pilots,
and Keeper of the Powder Magazine.

The following are the Rates of Pilotage to be
paid by Vessels entering the Harbour of
Nelson:--

For all Vessels drawing 8 feet and under, 5s.
per foot.

For every additional foot, or fractional part of
a foot, a further sum of 7s. 6d.
