NOTICE OF HEARING.

Land Commissioners' Office,
Kororareka, 9th November, 1842.
I, MATHEW RICHMOND, a Commissioner appointed to examine and report upon Claims to Grants of Land, do hereby give notice that I will proceed to investigate the undermentioned at the places and on the dates below specified, being in addition to the list of Claims adverti'ed for hearing in the Government Gazette of the 10th August, 1842.

All parties interested are hereby summoned to be in attendance with their documents and witnesses, and they are reminded that the fee of five pounds must be paid to the Commissioner before the investigation of any Claim, or any opposition thereto. Claimants are also required to bring all original deeds (and translations thereof, if in the Maori language,) relating to their claims, with copies of the same—the latter to remain with the Commissioner.

At Waimate on the 10th November, and following days:

Case No. 447—JOHN EDWARD HARGREAVES, of Waimate, claimant.
2½, Two and a half acres, more or less, situate at Waimate, boundaries not stated.
Alleged to have been purchased by claimant from the native chiefs Tane and others, in the year 1839.
Consideration given to the natives—£12 in specie.
Nature of conveyance—not stated.

Case No. 447 (a).—JOHN E. HARGREAVES, of Waimate, claimant.
A piece of land, called Papawahi, near to Waimate; boundaries and contents not stated.
Alleged to have been purchased by claimant from the native chief Puhi, on the 11th of November, 1839.

Consideration given to the natives—£15 sterling.
Nature of conveyance—deed in favor of claimant.

CROWN GRANTS.

Colonial Secretary's Office,
Auckland, 9th November, 1842.
THE undermentioned Deeds of Grant are now lying ready for delivery to the grantees, on application to this Office, on or after Monday, the 14th instant, and on presentation of the Colonial Treasurer's receipt.

In cases where it is impossible for the grantee to attend in person to receive his Deed, it will be delivered to the bearer of an authority according to the subjoined form, and certified by a Magistrate, or by a Solicitor of the Supreme Court.

The days for delivery of the Deeds, will be Monday and Tuesday in every week.

I hereby authorize A. B. of to receive the Deed for Allotment No. of Section No. in the suburbs of purchased by me at the Government sale of the day of 184, for which he will produce the receipt of the Colonial Treasurer.
