NOTICE OF HEARING.

Commissioners of Land Claims' Office,
Bay of Islands, 26th September, 1842.
NOTICE is hereby given that the following
Claim to a grant of land will be examined
at Wangaroa, on Thursday, the 8th day of
December next, and following days, instead of
at Kororarika, as advertised in the Gazette of
the 10th of August last.
No. 420-C. HECTOR, of Kororarika, claimant.
300. Three hundred acres at the Cavallos
Alleged to have been purchased by claimant in
the year 1839, from native chiefs not named.
Consideration-not stated.
Nature of conveyance-not stated.

THE following goods landed and secured ex
"Medusa," (Purdie, master), from London
and Sydney, will be sold by Auction to defray
all charges for duties, removal, warehouse rent,
&c. if not claimed within two months from this
date-
2 Boxes, No. 1, no direction or mark-con-
taining eight Jars (10lbs. each), of Salt Butter.
1 Box, No. 3-no direction or mark-contain-
ing two old oak Altar Candlesticks, and two
large Wax Candles.
The above may be seen any day between the
hours of 10 o'clock in the morning and 3 o'clock
in the afternoon, on application to Mr. John
Guilding, Locker, Queen's Warehouse, Fore
street.

CROWN GRANTS.

Colonial Secretary's Office,
Auckland, October 1st, 1842.
THE Undermentioned Deeds of Grant are
now lying ready for delivery to the Grantees,
on application at this office on or after Monday,
the 10th proximo, and on Presentation of the
Colonial Treasurer's receipt.
In cases where it is impossible for the Grantee
to attend in person to receive his Deed, it will be
delivered to the Bearer of an authority accord-
ing to the subjoined form, and certified by a
Magistrate, or by a Solicitor of the Supreme
Court.
The days for the delivery of the Deeds will
be Monday and Tuesday in every week.
Form of authority above referred to :-
"I hereby authorise A. B., of -, to
receive the Deed for Section No. -, in the
District of -, purchased by me at the
Government Sale of the - day of -."

    The DEEDS notified as ready for delivery, in
    the Government Gazette of the 27th July last,
    will also be issued on application at this Office,
    on the above-mentioned days.
