GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.

H IS EXCELLENCY the OFFICER adminis-
tering the Government directs it to be
notified that arrangements have been made for
publishing, under the inspection of the Govern-
ment, the Official Paper hitherto printed by
contract, intituled "The New Zealand Govern-
ment Gazette.
"

The Government Gazette will appear on Wed-
nesday in each week, commencing on Wednes-
day the 5th instant.

The Heads of the several Departments will
be pleased to observe that it will be necessary to
transmit to the Colonial Secretary by three
o'clock on Saturdays, whatever is intended for
publication on the succeeding Wednesdays.

For all such advertisements as may be sent
for publication in the Government Gazette, res-
pecting Dissolutions of Partnership, Insolven-
cies, Sheriffs' Sales, and Advertisements from
Public Departments, when the cost falls on the
parties concerned, a charge will be made, at the
rate of three shillings for eight lines, or less, and
one penny for each line additional, for each
insertion.

The Government Printing Establishment is
placed under the superintendence of Mr. Leech,
of the Colonial Secretary's Office, to whom all
charges on account of the Government Gazette
are, for the present, to be paid.

to appoint

WILLIAM CONNELL, Esq., Postmaster General,
to be Registrar of the Records of the Colonial
Secretary's Office.

H IS EXCELLENCY the OFFICER adminis-
tering the Government, directs it to be
notified that in consequence of the appointment
of Mr. Fleury to be Clerk to the Post-Master
General, at Auckland, the duties of the Post
Office at the Bay of Islands will be, for the
future, conducted by

Mr. RICHARD MARSH DUNN,
Clerk to the Magistrates at Kororarika.
