No. 225. ALEXANDER THOMPSON, of Hokianga,
claimant.
1,000, One thousand aeres, more or less,
named Puparahaka; bounded on the front by
the creek Wareware Kaime, and extending in-
land to its source, and from thence by a side
line running along a valley or glen by the side
of a hill or hills called Kotou to the creek Orida;
this constituting one side line, and the other side
by the Hokianga, running along that river to
the Kowrou, and from thence by a line running
along a ridge of hills cutting the back boundary
line of J. Marmon's land to the river Orida, this
forming the other side line.
Alleged to have been purchased by claimant,
in November 1834, from the native chiefs
Tao Nui, Auro and others.
Consideration: cash and goods amounting to
£49. 15s.
Nature of conveyance; deed, dated the 23rd.
November, 1834.
No. 228. WILLIAM THURLOW & CAMPBELL
LEVERTON MCDONALD, of Sydney, Trustees
of STEPHEN MCDONALD, deceased; claimants.
All that land bounded as follows; a line
running from the head called Ware Ware Kaudi,
in a W. N. W. line until it enters the creek,
Waiadui is the southern boundary; all the river
frontage from Ware Ware Kaudi to the creek
Pipito, is the eastern or river boundary; from
the entrance of the said creek Pipito, a line run-
ning with the stream as far as the entrance of
the creek Waiadui, is the northern; and from
the entrance of the creek Waiadui, running with
the stream until Ware Ware Kaudi bears E. S.
E, the western or inland boundary.
Alleged to have been purchased by Mr. Hag-
gar in. December 1834. who sold to Mr.
Thomas Macdonell, who sold to Mr. G. F.
Russell, who sold to Mr.. Wm. Mariner,
whosold to Mr. A. Devlin, who sold to Mr.
H. Macdermott, who transferred to Mr.
Stephen Macdonald deceased, who ap-
pointed claimants his executors, from the
native chiefs Tao Nui, Kai Toke and Tano.

claimant.
500, Five hundred acres, more or less, si-
tuate on the northern side of the river Waima;
boundaries not stated,
Alleged to have been purchased by claimant
in December, 1889, from the native chiefs

No. 231. PIERCE P. TUITE, of Hokianga,
claimant.
500, Five hundred acres, more or less, situate
on the western side of the river Waima; bounded
on the north by the creek Pa Kahi Katoa, which
empties itself into that river, bearing somewhat
to the westward; by the northward towards its
source to a solitary and large Kauri tree; it
stands almost immediately on the southern
margin of said creek, from which a straight line
is to be stricken, traversing hill and dale, and
bearing to the southward, somewhat by the east-
ward, to a large Kaki katea tree, on an elevated
situation in the back ground, from which the
southern boundary is to be taken, and followed
by something of a sinuous course, bearing rather
inwards, or to the northward, until the mouth of
a creek, called Koteawatawai, is gained.
Alleged to have been purchased by John Ryan
and James Kelly, in November, 1838;
Kelly sold his interest to Ryan, who sold
to claimant; from the native chiefs Tara-
naki and Ngau.
Consideration: goods, value not stateď.

vember, 1838.
No. 237. PATRICK WALSHE, of Hokianga,
claimant.
500, Five hundred acres, more or less, com-
mencing on the south bank of the Hokianga,
at about two miles to the east of the Widuiaki
influx, from a puridi tree standing on the bank
above high-water mark, and from which the
dove-cot of Dr. De La Court on the opposite
side of the Maru, bears about west-north-west
from the said Puridi tree, straight to a Kaikatea
tree on the summit of the eminence aback of the
said Puridi tree, and south-east by east there-
from, from the Kaikatea tree the centre of the
range of hills is to be followed for the back
boundary. The hindermost range of hills, which
is part of this boundary, bears to the eastward;
and having proceeded thereby through that part
which runs through Turibor, it is to be emerged
from and followed for a short distance over a
part covered with fern; at the end of which, and
commencement of second timber covering, the
range in a line to the Ware Kauri creek, which
line is to bear on the Rangehore Point, or Nar-
rows, about north-east by east. The creek is
followed, as the eastern boundary, through its
course to the Hokianga.
Alleged to have been purchased by claimant
in December, 1839, of the native chief Nu
Ru.
Consideration—goods, value £42 15s.
Nature of conveyance: deed dated 12th of
December, 1839.
No. 243. WILLIAM WHITE, of Hokianga,
claimant.
1, One aere, more or less, being all the Island
of Motiti, situated at Hokianga.
Alleged to have been purchased by claimant
on the 8th of June, 1835, from the native
chiefs Matu, Tiro, and Potae.
Consideration: goods, value £50.
