Alleged to have been purchased from the na-
tive chief Ranga Hietie by Thomas Ellison
on the 26th December, 1837.
Consideration given to the natives—a quantity

Case No. 356 (a)—Representatives of the late
THOMAS ELLISON, claimant.
2. Two miles square, situate in Cooks' Straits
inside of the Island of Mowed known by the
name of Teeti, bounded on the north-west by
Cooks' Straits; on the north-east by a remark-
able Hill called Witara; on the south-east by the
Paroro River, and on the south-west by a barrier
ridge extending from Cooks' Straits to the Pa-
roro River.

Alleged to have been purchased from the na-
tive chiefs Bookari and Ewari by Thomas
Ellison on the 11th Oct. 1839.
Consideration given to the natives—a quantity
of merchandize to the value of £100.
Nature of conveyance—A deed in favor of T.
Ellison, dated, 11th. Oct. 1839.

Case No. 357. CHARLES ROBERTSON, of the
barque Tyne, claimant.
A piece of land, situate at Kororarika, described
as Allotments Nos. 14 and 15, measuring each
in front fifty-four feet, and in rear sixty-four feet;
on the south side one hundred and fifty feet; and
on the north side ninety feet; bounded in front
by Company's-street, in rear by land claimed by
Captain Clayton, on the south by Allotments 13,
17, and 18, and on the north by Altotte To.

Alleged to have been purchased from the native
chiefs Tareha aud Akede, by Alexander
M'Gregor, on behalf of the Kororarika Laud
Company, and sold by the Company to pre-
sent claimant.

Case No. 358.—E. BOLGER, of the Bay of Islands,
claimant.
120, One hundred and twenty acres, more or
less, situate about 14 miles inside Point Pocock,
on the north side of the Bay of Islands, bounda-
ries not stated.

Alleged to have been purchased from the native
chiefs of the district not named, by present
claimant, in the years 1835, 1838, and 1839.
Consideration given to the natives—a quantity
of merchandize, estimated at £400.
Nature of conveyance—not stated.

Case No 358 (a.)--E.BOLGER, of the Bay of Islands,
claimant.
300, Three hundred acres, situate at Pokama
Creek, on the north side of the Bay of Islands,
boundarics not stated.

chiefs of the district, by claimant, on the
10th of April, 1839.
Consideration given to the natives—a quantity
of merchandize, valued at £200.

Case No. 359.—THOMAS GRAHAM, of Oripiu Bay,
claimant,
A piece of land, situate on the Island of Wai-
heke, in the river Thames, known by the name of
Oripiu Bay, and bounded by the north and south
Heads of Oripiu, commencing from low water
mark, and extending backward one mile, and four
hundred yards, from Head to Head.

Alleged to have been purchased from the chief
Erune, on the 8th day of February, 1839,
by present claimant.
Consideration given to the natives—a quantity
of merchandize, value not stated.
Nature of conveyance—a written document in
favor of claimant, dated 8th February, 1839.

Case No. 359 (a)—THOMAS GRAHAM of Ori-
piu, claimant.
A piece of land situate on the Island of Wai-
keki in the river Thames, bounded by the north head
of Oripiu, running in a direct line to Otakawe, and
joins land claimed by Mr. Graham.

Alleged to have been purchased from the native
chief Ruinga by present claimant on the 8th
February and 20th December 1839.
Consideration given to the natives a quantity
of merchandise—value not stated.
Nature of conveyance—a written document in
favor of claimant dated 20th December, 1839.

Case No. 360.—JOHN ALEXANDER WILSON, of
Tauranga, JAMES STACK, and REV. ALFRED
N. BROWN, claimants.
3,840, Three thousand eight hundred and forty
acres, more or less, situate at Opotiki, on the east
coast, boundaries not stated.

Alleged to have been purchased from the native
chiefs Titoko, Rangihaerepi, Te Ake, and nine-
teen others, on the 27th January, 1840, by
claimants.
Consideration given to the natives—a quantity
of merchandize, valued at £400.
Nature of conveyance—deed in favour of
claimants, dated 27th January, 1840.

Case No. 361.—JOHN JOHNSON, of Kororarika,
claimant.
All that piece of land, situate in the centre
of Kororarika Beach, having a frontage of 80 feet
to the beach, by a depth of one hundred and sixty
bounded on the north by land claimed by Mr.
Evans, on the south by land claimed by Mr.
Moore, and on the east by other land claimed by
J. Johnson.

Alleged to have been purchased from the native
chiefs Pakera. Strongi, and Kouwere, by
present claimant.
