Mr. DAVID GEORGE SMALE

to be Inspector of Slaughter Houses for the
district comprised within the Hundreds of
Auckland, Panmure, and Onehunga, excepting
such portions of them as lie on the East of the
Tamaki River and South of the Onehunga
branch of the Manukau Harbour.

His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor
directs it to be notified, for general in-
formation, that Writs have been returned to
His Excellency, certifying the election of the
undermentioned gentlemen to serve as Mem-
bers of the Provincial Council, for the Electoral
Districts specified in connexion with their re-
spective names, viz.:—

NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Election
of Common Councillors for the undermen-
tioned Wards, in the Borough of Auckland,
will take place at the Market House, Shortland
Crescent, Auckland, on Thursday, the 18th day
of November next.

The Voting will commence at nine o\'clock
in the morning, and close at four in the after-
noon of the same day.

Voters will be required to deliver to the
Returning Officer a Voting Paper, containing
the Christian and Surname of the Party for
whom he votes, together with his place of
abode and description, signed with the Name
of the Burgess so voting, and setting forth his
place of abode and description.

West Town Ward,
Suburban East Ward,
Suburban South Ward,
Suburban West Ward,
Epsom East Ward,

NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Election
of Common Councillors for the under-
mentioned Wards, in the Borough of Auckland,
will take place in the centre of Queen-street,
Onehunga, on the 18th day of November next.
The voting will commence at nine o\'clock in
the morning, and close at four in the after-
noon.

Each Voter will be required to deliver to
the Returning Officer a Voting Paper, con-
taining the Christian and surname of the
party for whom he votes, together with his
place of abode and description, and setting
name of the Burgess so voting, and setting
forth his place of abode and description.

IMPOUNDED, in the Public Pound, Hobson\'s
Bridge, for trespassing in the enclosed uncult
meadow of James Macky, Esq., at Epsom,—
One Strawberry Cow, cocked horns, aged,
like an illegible brand on the off ribs; one white
Bull Calf, no brand legible; one red Cow,
like D C off rump, off ear split; one red Bull
Calf, not branded.

If not claimed, the above cattle will be sold
at the Pound on the 6th day of November, 1852,
at noon.
