NOTICE TO MARINERS.

A DANGEROUS sunken Rock, lying about two miles to the north-eastward of the outermost of the “Mercury” or “Haussez” Islands, should be carefully avoided by vessels passing to and from the southward.

This Rock bears from Cape Colville about east by south (magnetic), and from Castle Hill over Mercury Bay about north-east (magnetic). It is only visible during gales of wind, or at low water spring tides.

HOSPITAL RESERVED LANDS.

Auckland, 4th October, 1850.

THE Trustees of the Hospital Reserves hereby intimate that the undermentioned Hospital Reserved Lands will be submitted for Lease by Public Auction, on Wednesday, the 16th instant, at noon, by Messrs. CONNELL and RIDINGS, at their Auction Mart, Queen-street, upon the following terms:

4 12 Shortland-street, with 81 feet frontage. 21 £40 The buildings and improvements on the allotment at the termination of the lease to belong to the Trust.
