TENDERS FOR SURVEYING BY CONTRACT.
Colonial Secretary’s Office,
Auckland, October 4th, 1850.
TENDERS will be received at the Surveyor-General’s Office, until noon of Monday, the 14th instant, from parties desirous of performing two small Surveys for the Government, one near Otahuhu, and the other near Matakana.
Full particulars connected with the above Surveys can be obtained on application at the Survey Office.
Tenders to be in duplicate, sealed, and endorsed “Tender for Surveys.”

TENDERS FOR HARDWOOD PILES, KAURI TIMBER AND PLANKING, IRON AND COALS.

TENDERS will be received at this Office until noon on Tuesday, the 8th October, 1850, from persons desirous of furnishing the following articles required for the erection of a Wharf in Commercial Bay, viz.:-
Hardwood Piles
Kauri Timber
Kauri Planking
Iron, Flat and Round
15 tons of Coals.
Specifications may be seen and every information on the subject obtained on application to the Clerk of Works, at the office of the Royal Engineer Department, Albert Barracks.

PROCLAMATION.
By His Excellency Sir GEORGE GREY, K.C.B., Governor-in-Chief in and over the Islands of New Zealand, and Governor of the Provinces of New Ulster and New Munster, and Vice Admiral of the same, &c.,
I, THE GOVERNOR of the Province of New Ulster, do hereby proclaim that at eleven o’clock on Wednesday, the twentieth of November, one thousand eight hundred and fifty, the Resident Magistrate will put up to Auction, at Mongonui, the undermentioned allotments of land, hereby declared to be within the limits of settlement.

NOTICE is hereby given, that a Pound has been erected at the junction of the Epsom and Tamaki Roads, in conformity with the Impounding Ordinance, 11 Vict., Sess. 8, No. 6, and His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the same to be the Public Pound for the Hundred of Auckland.
