Auckland, August 20th, 1850.

His Excellency the Governor-in-Chief directs it to be notified that two grants of land; containing the same description of boundaries, having been issued, 4th January, 1845, and 3rd July, 1847, to James Millton and J. Skelton, under Land Claim No. 169, for 1,766 and 794 acres respectively, and these grants having conferred the right of selection from the whole extent within the said boundaries to each grantee, and such right of selection having been duly notified and forwarded with the necessary documents to the Surveyor-General, in regard to the grant dated 2nd October, 1844, for 794 acres, in accordance with the provisions of the “Crown Titles Ordinance,” Session 10, No. 4, and the said claim having been heard by Mr. Commissioner Gisborne, on the 12th June, 1850, he reported that the Assigns of Messrs. Milton and Skelton, viz., William Greenwood and George Patten, should receive grants of the particular pieces of land claimed by them respectively, as set forth in the plan deposited in the office of the Surveyor-General, viz.:

Mr. George Patten, a grant for 320 acres,

Mrs. William Greenwood, a grant for 474 acres,

of which report His Excellency has been pleased to approve, and grants have been executed accordingly, and are now ready for delivery.

TENDERS FOR REPAIRING THE WHITE BRIDGE ON THE HOWICK ROAD.

Colonial Secretary’s Office,
Auckland, 20th August, 1850.

TENDERS will be received at this office, until Thursday, 5th September, 1850, from parties desirous of performing the necessary repairs of the White Bridge on the Howick Road.

Further particulars relative to this service may be obtained on application at the Office of the Superintendent of Works.

Tenders to be in duplicate, and endorsed “Tenders for repairing White Bridge on the Howick Road.”

TENDERS FOR ERECTING BUILDINGS FOR A MARKET.

Colonial Secretary’s Office,
Auckland, August 15, 1850.

TENDERS will be received at this Office until noon of Friday the 20th day of September next, from persons who may be desirous of contracting for the erection of Buildings for a Market at the bottom of Shortland Street.

Specifications may be seen and further particulars obtained at the office of the Superintendent of Works.

Tenders to be in duplicate, sealed, and endorsed “Tender for Erecting Buildings for a Market.”
