Case No. 59—Pre-emption certificate, No. 100—Thomas Davis Cleghorn, of Auckland, settler.

500 acres. Five hundred acres of land, situated on the river Wairoa, bounded on the west by the river Wairoa, on the east by a ridge of hills the native name of which is Ohura, on the north by land belonging to the chiefs Te Tara, and Makuru of the tribe Ngati Tat, and on the south by land belonging to the same chiefs.

Alleged to have been purchased from the native chiefs Te Tara, and Makuru and Honetana.

Consideration—2 double barrelled Guns, 1 Musket, 2 cloth cloaks, 1 superfine cloth coat, 1 pair do trowsers, 15 Blankets, largest and finest, 1 cloth Cap, £15 cash.

Case No. 60—Pre-emption certificate, No. 99—William Cleghorn.

500 acres. Five hundred acres of land, situated on the Wairoa, on the east by a ridge of hills the native name of which is Ohura, on the north by land belonging to the chiefs Te Tara and Makuru, of the tribe of Ngati Tat, and on the south by land belonging to the same chiefs.

Alleged to have been purchased from the native chiefs Te Tera, Makuru and Honetana.

Consideration—2 double barrelled Guns, 1 Musket, 2 cloth Cloaks, 1 superfine coat; 1 do pair Trowsers, 15 largest and finest Blankets, 1 cloth Cap, Cash £15.

Case No. 61—Pre-emption certificate, No. 98—William Goodfellow, of Auckland, Baker.

500 acres. Five hundred acres of land, situated on the Wairoa, bounded on the north by a place the native name of which is Pohotukia, on the west by the river Wairoa, on the east by a ridge of hills the native name of which is Ohura, and on the south by land belonging to the native chiefs Te Tara and Makuru of the tribe Ngati Tat.

Alleged to have been purchased from the native chiefs Te Tana, and Mukurn, and Honetana.

Consideration—£5 cash, 1 Mare, 1 Saddle, 1 Bridle, 1 double barrelled Gun, 2 Muskets, 1 keg Powder, 1 superfine Coat, 1 do pair of Trowsers.

Case No. 62—Pre-emption certificate, No. 97—Hugh Goodfellow.

500 acres. Five hundred acres of land, situated on the Wairoa, bounded on the west by the river Wairoa, on the east by a ridge of hills the native name of which is Ohura, on the north by land belonging to the chiefs Te Tara and Makuru of the tribe Ngati Tat and on the south by land belonging to the same chiefs.

Alleged to have been purchased from the native chiefs Te Tara and Makuru, and Honetana.

500 acres. Five hundred acres of land, situated on the Wairoa, bounded on the west by the river Wairoa, on the east by a ridge of hills the native name of which is Ohura, on the north by land belonging to the chiefs Te Tara and Makuru of the tribe Ngati Tat, and on the south by land belonging to the same chiefs.

Alleged to have been purchased from the native chiefs Te Tara and Makuru, and Honetana.

Consideration—£17 cash, 20 blankets, 1 double barrelled Gun, 1 Cloak, 1 superfine Coat, 1 do pair of Trowsers, 1 Cap, 9 Muskets.

Case No. 64—Pre-emption Certificate, No. 224—William Lewis, of Auckland, Settler.

950 acres of land situated at the back of Mr. Fairburn’s land, and called Kohuru, bounded on the North by land belonging to Mr. Fairburn, on the East by land belonging to Government; on the South by a line parallel to Mr. Fairburn’s boundary, at such distance so as to include 950 acres; and on the West by land recently purchased by Jackson, of the Natives, called Pukiaki.

Alleged to have been purchased from the Native Chiefs Na Mohi, Na Naia, Na Ra, and Te Pepene.

Consideration—Two horses, one foal, one bridle, one saddle, thirty blankets, five pairs of trowsers, ten shirts, and £5 sterling.

NOTICE.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE PARTNERSHIP hitherto existing between Patrick Sharkey and Henry White, Stone-masons, is this day dissolved by mutual consent. All debts due to, and by the firm, will be received and paid by the said Henry White, whose receipt alone will be a sufficient discharge.
