Description of the Boundaries of the Hundred of Neke.

The Northern Boundary commences at high-water mark on the dividing line between sections Nos. 1 and 4 suburban north, and thence along the summits of the hill range to the Moutere; the same being the Southern Boundary of the Waikakapuka Hundred. The Eastern Boundary proceeds from the Moutere thence along the summit of the dividing range of the Maitai and Pelorus for a distance of eight miles, from thence the Southern Boundary commences, and proceeds in a straight line to the southern angle of section No. 8 suburban south, thence along the northern boundary of sections Nos. 113, 99, 76, 31, and 77 Waimea East District, to high-water mark. The Western Boundary thence proceeds along high-water mark to the dividing line of sections Nos. 1 and 4 suburban north, from which point the northern boundary of this Hundred commences.

Description of the Boundaries of the Hundred of Waimea East.

The Northern Boundary commences at high-water mark on the northern boundary of section No. 77 Waimea East, and thence along the boundary described as the boundary of the Nelson Hundred, to the summit of the Pelorus range. The Eastern boundary thence proceeds along the summit of the ridge to the eastern or middle branch of the Wairoa. The Southern Boundary thence proceeds along the banks of the Wairoa to high-water mark; and the Western Boundary thence proceeds along high-water mark to the point from which the northern boundary of this Hundred commences.

Description of the Boundaries of the Hundred of Wai-iti.

The Northern Boundary commences at the junction of the rivers Wairoa and Wai-iti, and thence along the northern bank of the Wairoa to the site of Mr. Martin’s sawmill. The Eastern Boundary thence proceeds along the bank of the southern branch of the Wairoa, known as Ward’s Pass, for a distance of ten miles. The Southern Boundary thence proceeds in a straight line to the southernmost point of section No. 15 Waimea South. The Western Boundary thence proceeds along the western boundary of section No. 15 Waimea South, thence along the western bank of the Wai-iti to section No. 13 Waimea South, thence along the western boundary of sections Nos. 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, and 6 Waimea South, proceeds thence in a northerly direction about twelve miles to a point drawn on the surveyor’s map of this district, thence in an easterly direction to the northern boundary of section No. 113 Waimea South, thence along the northern boundary of section No. 113, and thence in a northern direction along the banks of the Wai-iti to the junction of the Wai-iti with the Wairoa, from which point the northern boundary of this Hundred commences.

Description of the Boundaries of the Hundred of Waimea West.

The Northern Boundary commences at high water mark at the line of the Moutere road in section No. 194 Moutere district, thence along high water mark to the mouth of the Waimea river. The Eastern Boundary thence proceeds along the banks of the Waimea to its junction with the Wai-iti river, and thence along the Wai-iti to section No. 165 Waimea South. The Southern Boundary thence proceeds along the Southern Boundary of section No. 165 and thence in a westerly direction for a distance of six miles. The Western Boundary thence proceeds in a straight line to the Western Boundary of section No. 8 Waimea West, thence in a straight line to the Western Boundary of section No. 97 Moutere district to the line of road, thence along the line of road through sections Nos. 97, 191, 192, 193, and 194 Moutere district to high water mark, from which point the Northern Boundary of this Hundred commences.

Description of the Boundaries of the Hundred of Motueka.

The Northern Boundary commences on the Banks of the river Riwaka, at the Western Boundary of section No. 38 Riwaka Valley, thence along the bank of the Riwaka river to high water mark. The Eastern Boundary proceeds thence along high water mark to the northern mouth of the Moutere river. The Southern Boundary proceeds thence along the northern banks of the Moutere river to section No. 200 Motueka district, thence along the southern boundaries of sections Nos. 200, 230, and 260 Motueka district to the south-western angle of section No. 260, thence in a straight line to the southern boundary of section No. 264 Moa, thence, and the western boundary proceeds thence in a straight line to the western boundary of section No. 38 Riwaka Valley, from which point the northern boundary of this Hundred commences.
