TENDERS IN DUPLICATE will be received at this Office until Saturday the 3rd March, from persons desirous of contracting for the unlet portions of the work required in the building of the Wanganui Hospital, viz. —
The Carpenter’s Work,
The Labour only for the Brick Work,
The Materials for the Plasterer’s Work.
Further particulars may be obtained at the Royal Engineer’s Office, Wellington. Tenders to be sealed, and endorsed “Tenders for Wanganui Hospital.”

Both appointments to bear date the 9th January last.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR has been pleased to direct the publication of the following notice relative to the Buoy lately laid down on the Bully Rock, near Point Jerningham.

NOTICE.
A BLACK Nun Buoy is laid down on the Bully Rock; Jerningham Point bearing S. E. by S., distant about 80 fathoms. The anchor by which the Buoy is riding is in three fathoms water, having a scope of eleven fathoms chain. When the wind is Northerly, the Buoy rides over the shoalest part, where there is a depth of from six to seven feet, low water. The Rock is of small dimensions, and has a channel varying from three to four fathoms between it and Point Jerningham. A short distance to the North and N. E. the water deepens suddenly to ten and twelve fathoms.

NO ELIGIBLE TENDER having been received in answer to the public notice of the 1st December last, tenders are again invited for piling the bank of the River Hutt, adjacent to the Bridge, and executing such other works as may be required in securing the abutments of the Bridge, and preventing the further encroachments of the river.
Plans and specifications may be seen on application at the office of Mr. T. H. Fitzgerald.
Tenders to be sent in to this office on or before Saturday, the 3rd March next, to be sealed and endorsed, “Tenders for Piling Bank of River Hutt.”
