HIS EXCELLENCY THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR has been pleased to appoint

MR. ROBERT CHAPMAN

to be Clerk to the Bench of Magistrates, and Deputy Registrar of Births, Marriages, and Deaths, in and for the district of Otago.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR has been pleased to appoint

MR. JOHN T. GILL,

to the united Offices of Inspector of Sheep, under the “Scab Ordinance,” and Inspector of Brands and Slaughter Houses, under the “Slaughter-House Ordinance.” The appointment to bear date the 5th instant.

TWO GALLONS OF SPIRITS OF WINE.

Tenders to be in duplicate, sealed, and endorsed “Tender for Spirits of Wine.”

TENDERS in duplicate will be received at this office on or before the 20th instant, for the supply of

EIGHTY HURDLES

ONE HUNDRED STAKES AND TIES

ONE MALLET

The Hurdles to be of Pine, Birch, or Totara, seven feet in length by four feet in height, morticed, with 6 rails; the stakes to be stout, pointed, and three feet in length; the ties of tarred inch rope, and the mallet to be mounted with iron beetle rings.

Tenders to be sealed and endorsed “Tenders for Hurdles.”
