HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-IN-CHIEF directs the following certificate relative to the death of Thomas Agga, a native of White’s Island in this colony, to be published for the information of his friends.

THOMAS AGGA, born at White’s Island, New Zealand, sent to Haslar Hospital 31st March, 1848, died 1st April, 1848, slightly tattooed on the face with a blue ring over nose.

Kua mate a Tamati Aka (Agga); no White’s Island, Nui Tireni, taua tangata, he taitamariki ia, erua tekau ma rua hoki ona tau: no te 31 o Maehe, 1848, ka tukua atu ki roto ki te whare turoro—Haslar Hospital, no te 1 o Aperira, 1848, ka hemo. Tenei te ahua o te kanohi—he mea tā ki te moko terehi wahi o te kanohi, he wahi moko porotaka hoki itiiti nō ki tona ihu.

TENDERS will be received at this office until the 13th February, from persons desirous of executing the MISCELLANEOUS PRINTING which may be required by the Local Government during the year 1849,—including Ordinances and Minutes of Council, and any Printing Work not included in the contracts lately entered into.
Tenders should state the rate of printing per page of foolscap or octavo demy.
Further particulars may be obtained on application at this office.
Tenders to be in duplicate, sealed, and endorsed "Tenders for Miscellaneous Printing."

AS some portions only of the work for this building have been let, TENDERS for the undermentioned will be received at this office until the 13th February:
VIZ:—
All the Carpenter’s work, except the doors and windows
The Plumber’s, Painter’s, Glazier’s, and Ironmonger’s work
The labour only for the brickwork, and the Materials for the Plasterer’s work.
Separate tenders will be received for the materials or labour.
The plans and specifications may be seen, and further particulars obtained, at the Royal Engineer Office, Wellington-Terrace, Wellington.
Tenders to be in duplicate, sealed, and endorsed "Tenders for Carpenter’s Work, &c.," as the case may be.
