All Public Notifications which appear in this Gazette, with any Official Signature thereunto annexed, are to be considered as Official Communications made to those Persons to whom they may relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR has been pleased to direct the re-publication of the following Notices from the Auckland Official Gazette, relating to the withdrawal from circulation of certain Government Debentures and Debenture Certificates.

Auckland, 25th October, 1847.
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR directs it to be notified that the Government will be prepared, on any day after the fifteenth day of November next, to pay off any of the Government Debentures for the sums of Five Shillings and Ten Shillings each, upon such Debentures (which do not bear interest) being presented for payment at the Colonial Treasuries at Auckland or Wellington.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR directs it to be notified, in reference to the Debenture Certificates which were issued in acknowledgment of the debts of the Local Government outstanding at the time His Excellency assumed the administration of the Government, that such Debenture Certificates, together with the interest due thereon, for any complete year or years, will be paid off, on being presented for that purpose at the Colonial Treasuries at Auckland or Wellington, upon any day after the fifteenth day of November next.
