SPECIAL SETTLEMENT BLOCKS, BULLER VALLEY.

THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified that for public information that on and after the first day of March now next the Crown Lands comprised in the two blocks of land known respectively as the Hampden Block, containing 14,000 acres or thereabouts, and the Matiri Block, containing 25,000 acres or thereabouts, reserved for Special Settlement, will be open to application to purchase under the provisions of the "Nelson Waste Lands Act, 1874," and to applications to lease under the provisions of the "Goldfields Act, 1866," and amendments thereto.
Applications to purchase must be made to the Commissioner for Crown Lands, Nelson.
Applications to lease must be made to the Warden of the District in the manner provided by the Rules and Regulations of the Nelson Goldfields.

MR. THOMAS KERR
has been elected a member of the Hampden Road Board in the place of Mr. Owen Lynch, who has ceased to be a member of the Board.

THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified that he has refused to grant Leases for Agricultural purposes of the Crown Lands within the district of the Nelson South-west Goldfields, hereinafter described, viz:β
INANGAHUA DISTRICT.
- A block of land containing six acres one rood seven perches, more or less, situated on the north bank of Boatman's Creek, Capleston. Applied for by Denis Healy. No. 247.
WESTPORT DISTRICT.
- A block of land containing thirty-one acres one rood four perches, more or less, situated on the south side of the Buller river, Section 202 B, on Square 141. Applied for by Hoani Mahuika. No. 246.
