THE Superintendent directs it to be notified that it is intended, after the expiration of two months from the date hereof, to grant Leases for Gold-mining purposes of the Crown Lands within the district of the Nelson South-west Goldfields hereinafter described, viz :—
CHARLESTON DISTRICT.

A block of land containing ten acres, more or less, situated at the Back Lead, Darkey\'s Terrace. Applied for by James Hunter, No. 706.

A block of land containing six acres three roods and fourteen perches, more or less, situated at Sardine Terrace. Applied for by Francis Frederick Jungnickel, No. 707.

A block of land containing seven acres two roods and twenty-eight perches, more or less, situated at Fenian Flat. Applied for by Patrick Walsh and Patrick O\'Brien, No. 796.

A block of land containing four acres two roods and twenty-eight perches, more or less, situated at Nile Flat. Applied for by Andrew Anderson, David Stewart, and David M\'Intosh, No. 797.

A block of land containing nine acres three rood and ten perches, more or less, situated at Candlelight. Applied for by William Fox and John Gardner, No. 794.

A block of land containing four acres one rood and thirty-five perches, more or less, situated at Victoria Creek, applied for by Michael O\'Sullivan, No, 802, being renewal of lease No. 94 O., granted to Denis M\'Auliffe on 1st July 1871.

A block of land containing seven acres one rood and twenty-eight perches, more or less, situated at Nine-mile Beach. Applied for by Daniel Murphy, Edward Noonan, and Michael Noonan, No. 798.

Lease No. 481, containing one acre two roods and three perches, more or less, situated adjoining the Alpine Company\'s claim. Applied for by Robert Cairns and others, for the Little Wonder company,

Lease No. 492, containing fifteen acres, more or less, situated at Irishman\'s Creek, Alpine Ranges. Applied for by Samuel Marston and others for the Tambaroora Company.

THE Deputy-Superintendent directs it to be notified that the order made by the Motueka Highway Board on the 5th day of August, 1876, for the alteration of certain lines of road in the Motueka Highway District, described in the Government Gazette (Province of Nelson) of the 31st day of May, 1876, and numbered therein respectively 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13, was confirmed by him in accordance with the provisions of "The Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871," on the 26th day of September, 1876.
