NOTICE is hereby given that by resolution of the
Waste Lands Board, at a meeting held the 24th
day of February, 1876, the undermentioned Lands
were reserved for public purposes, viz.:—

Gravel Reserve.

Section 224, square 2, being all that piece of
land lying between old and new roads, con-
taining by admeasurement 13 acres,
bounded northward partly by Crown land,
and partly by Section 69 (250 links and
530 links) and partly by the new road
adjoining Sections 69; on the southward,
partly by old road Sections 68 and 36, and
partly by Crown land (250 links); and on
the westward by Crown land (1000) except-
ing public road passing through the said
land.

NOTICE is hereby given that by resolution of the
Waste Lands Board, at a meeting of the Board
held the 8th day of June instant, the undermentioned
Lands were reserved for public purposes, viz.:—

1. The western portion of Island No. 3 Waimea
   River, square 1, containing by admeasurement
   120 acres more or less, bounded
   north-west and south by branches of the
   Waimea River, and east by other part of
   the said Island previously Gazetted as a
   Gravel reserve.

2. Section No. 12, Lyell Township.

MOTUEKA HIGHWAY BOARD.

THE Undersigned hereby gives notice that he
intends to apply to two or more Justices of the Peace, at
a sitting to be held on Wednesday, the 16th day of August
next, at the Motueka Institute, for an order for stopping up
the undermentioned roads; and further, that he will cause
survey plans of the roads proposed to be stopped up, with
books of reference, to be deposited with the Clerk to the
Magistrate's Court, at Motueka, and the District Constable:—

No. 1.—To stop up a certain road in the Upper Moutere
Sub-District, colored red on the plan attached to
this notification, beginning at a point about 14 chains
from the north-east corner of Section 172, Square 2,
and running in a southerly direction for a distance of
about 90 chains, terminating at the southern boun-
dary of Section No. 171 on the said square.

A new road has been substituted for the above.

No. 2.—To stop up a certain road in the Upper Moutere
Sub-District, colored red on the plan attached to
this notification, beginning at the north-east corner
of Section No. 123, Square 2, and running in a
westerly direction for a distance of 64 chains, ter-
minating at the south-west corner of Section 117.

Book of Reference.

A new road has been substituted for the above.

No. 3.—To stop up a road in the Ngatimoti Sub-district,
colored red on the plan attached to this notification,
beginning one chain from the back of the Motueka-
river, at the north-west corner of Section No. 2,
Square 7, and running in a south-easterly direction
for a distance of 16 chains, terminating at the north-
east corner of Section No. 67 on same square.

A new road has been substituted for the above.

No. 4.—To stop up a road in the Ngatimoti Sub-district,
colored red on the plan attached to this notification,
beginning on the trunk road, nearly opposite the
Ngatimoti School, about 32 chains west of the north-
east corner of Section No. 67, Square 3, and running
in a southerly direction for a distance of about 21
chains across the corner of the said section, and ter-
minating at the new road opposite Mr Suteliffe's
house, being about 6 chains across Section No. 26,
Square 3.
