has been elected a Member of the Upper Motueka Valley Road Board, for the Sub-District of Motupiko, vice Charles Baker Gabb, resigned.

IT is hereby notified that the application of Joseph O'Hanlon and others, of Reefton, for a Gold-mining Lease of a block of land containing Sixteen and a half Acres, more or less, situated at Murray Creek, north-east of and adjoining the Golden Treasure Lease, has been refused.

THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified that the Gold-mining Leases hereinafter described have been cancelled, viz.:β
INANGAHUA DISTRICT.

Gold-mining Lease No. 42 R., dated 1st January, 1873. Granted to Mathew Wynne and others, and now held by the North British Gold-mining Company, Registered. Area, 6 acres. Situated at Inangahua.

Gold-mining Lease, No. 103 R., dated 1st April, 1874. Granted to J. A. Thorpe, for the North British Company. Area four acres sixteen perches. Situated at Murray Creek.

Gold-mining Lease, No. 84 R. dated 1st January, 1873. Granted to R. Hopkins, for the Painkiller Gold-mining Company.

Gold-mining Lease, No. 69, dated 1st July, 1873. Granted to James Montgomery, and now held by the Golden Age Company.

Gold-mining Lease, No. 97, dated 1st January 1874. Granted to William Collins and others, and known as the Twilight Company. Area, three acres, three roods, and twenty perches. Situated at Murray Creek.

THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified that it is intended, after the expiration of two months from the date hereof, to grant Leases for Gold-mining purposes of the Crown Lands within the district of the Nelson South-west Goldfields, hereinafter described, viz.:β
COLLINGWOOD DISTRICT.
- A block of land containing two acres, more or less, situated between Doctor's Creek and Master's Gully, Quartz Ranges, Collingwood. Applied for by George Braddock, No. 741.
