PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor OSWALD CURTIS, Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, in the Islands of New Zealand, &c., &c.

WHEREAS by an Act passed by the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Nelson, intituled "The Nelson Highways Act, 1872," it is amongst other things enacted that there shall be a Board for each District, which, after the first Monday in July, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-two, shall consist of six members to be elected as therein provided. Provided always that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent at any time by Proclamation in the Government Gazette to increase the number of any members for any District to eight if he should think fit. And whereas a certain district has been constituted under the said Act called the Motueka District. And whereas it is expedient that the number of members for such District should be increased to eight.

Now, therefore, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, in and in exercise of the power and authority vested in me in that behalf by the said recited Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the number of the members of the Board for the Motueka District as constituted under the said Act shall be, and the same is hereby increased to eight.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province, at Nelson, this twenty-ninth day of June, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor OSWALD CURTIS, Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, in the Islands of New Zealand, &c., &c.

WHEREAS by an Act passed by the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Nelson, intituled "The Nelson Highways Act, 1872," it is amongst other things enacted that for the purpose of electing members of the Board for any District it shall be lawful for the Superintendent from time to time by Proclamation in the Government Gazette to divide any District or Districts into Sub-Districts as he shall think proper. And whereas a certain District has been constituted under the said Act called the Motueka District.

Now, therefore, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, pursuant to and in exercise of the power and authority vested in me in that behalf by the said recited Act do hereby proclaim and declare that the said District shall be divided into the following Sub-Districts, that is to say:β€”

  1. RIWAKA,
  2. MOTUEKA,
