February 5, 1873.
IT is hereby notified that the Superintendent has
Refused to grant the Gold-mining Lease applied
for by Henry Hughes and others, for a block of land
containing three acres three roods and twenty perches,
more or less, situated south-east of Adam Smith\'s
line of reef, Murray Creek, Inangahua.

IT is hereby notified that it is intended, after the
expiration of Two Months from the date hereof,
to grant Leases for Gold-mining purposes, of the
Crown Land within the District of the Nelson South-
west Goldfields, hereinafter described, viz:β
LYELL DISTRICT.

A block of land containing nine acres three
roods and thirty-seven perches, more or less,
situated at the foot of Manuka Flat, South
side of Lyell River. Applied for by Henry
Allen and others. -
A block of land containing six acres and two
roods or less, situated on Allen\'s line
of reef. Applied for by Thomas Glennie
and others. -
A block of land containing eight acres two
roods and twenty-three perches, more or less,
situated South of Little Wonder and Oriental
claims, Alpine Ranges. Applied for by
David Leslie and others. -
A block of land containing eight acres three
roods and twenty-seven perches, more or less,
situated South-east of ground applied
for by David Leslie and others. Applied
for by John Boyd and others. -
A block of land containing nine acres and
thirty perches, more or less, situated on the
North side of River Lyell, adjoining Non-
pareil Company\'s claim. Applied for by
Matthew Long and others. -
A block of land containing fourteen acres,
more or less, situated North of Oriental and
Lyell Company\'s claims, Alpine Ranges.
Applied for by Alphonso Jacklin and others.

toria Company. -
Application of William Dalton and others, for a
block of land containing five acres two
roods and thirty-eight perches, more or less,
situated on Allen\'s line of reef. -
Application of Thomas Blair and others, for a
block of land containing ten acres, more or
less, situated adjoining the Excelsior Com-
pany\'s lease. -
Application of John Murdoch and others, for a
block of land containing sixteen acres and
two roods, more or less, situated adjoining
the William Tell Company\'s lease. -
Application of John Brown and others, for a
block of land containing eight acres and
twenty-five perches, more or less, situated
on Allen\'s line of reef. -
Application of George M\'Kay and others, for
a block of land containing sixteen acres,
more or less, situated on Allen\'s line of reef.
