has been appointed Poundkeeper of the Public Pound at Coal Creek, Grey District, vice Joseph Greenwood resigned.

IT is hereby notified, for general information, that
RICHARD TREWAVAS
has been elected a member of the Riwaka Road Board, in the place of David Goodall resigned.

PROTECTION FOR BULLER TOWING PATH CANCELLED.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Protection granted by me, under the provisions of "The Goldfields Act 1866," bearing date the fourteenth day of August, 1871, and published in the Nelson Provincial Gazette, No. 24, of the 21st August, 1871, to the BULLER TOWING TRACK COMPANY (Limited), for a TOWING PATH to be constructed up the Buller River, from Garden Island on the south bank of the Buller to the Junction of the River Inangahua is hereby CANCELLED, and all rights of the said Company to charge Tolls for the use of the said Towing Path cease from and after this date.
