PROCLAMATION.

By his Honor OSWALD CURTIS, Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, in the Islands of New Zealand, &c., &c.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation issued under my hand bearing date the Sixteenth day of June, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-three, and published in the Nelson Provincial Government Gazette, No. 19, of the 17th June, 1873, the District of Pangatotara, as constituted under "The Nelson Highways Act 1872," was divided into Sub-districts for the purposes of the said Act, and whereas it is desirable to alter the boundaries of the said Sub-districts.

NOW THEREFORE, I, Oswald Curtis, Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, pursuant to and in exercise of the power and authority vested in me in that behalf, by the said recited Act, do hereby revoke the Proclamation hereinbefore described, and Proclaim and declare that the said District of Pangatotara shall be divided into the following Sub-districts from and after the date hereof, that is to say:—

  1. Pangatotara
  2. Nga Timoti
  3. Oronoko

And the boundaries of such Sub-districts shall be as follows:—

  1. PANGATOTARA.

On the North by the Riwaka Road Board district; on the East by the Motueka district; on the West by Crown Land; on the South by a line commencing at the division line between sections 43 and 44, square 3, and continuing in a straight line westward along the northern boundary of sections 14, 64, 63, and through 21 to the river Motueka; thence across the river and along its western bank to the northern angle of section 10; thence to the southern angle of section 9 by the north-eastern boundary of sections 27, 55, 90, and 95; thence by a straight line due west to the boundary of the Pangatotara Road Board district.
