said district shall be divided into two sub-districts, that
is to say :—

Upper Moutere
and
Lower Moutere.

And the division line of such sub-districts shall be as
follows :—

Commencing at the mudflat of the Waimea
entrance at the eastern angle of section 45,
square 3; thence along the north side of the
public road between sections 30 and 31 to its
junction with the road on the eastern boundary
of section 27; thence in a straight line to the
eastern angle of section 159; thence along
the north side of the public road to the
southern angle of section 158; thence in a
straight line through section 35 to the
northern angle of section 94; thence along
the northern boundary of sections 94, 92, and
90; thence in a straight line across section 82
and along the northern boundary of sections
85, 144, 142, 140, 137, and 75, and continued
to the western boundary.

And each sub-district shall elect three members of
the Board for the District.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public
Seal of the Province, at Nelson, this Sixteenth
day of June, in the year of our Lord One
thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.
