ALTERATION OF ROADS
Under the "HIGHWAY BOARDS EMPOWERING ACT, 1871."
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient by the Moutere Road Board to alter and divert the undermentioned roads in the Moutere District. Survey plans of the several roads proposed to be altered and diverted, together with books of reference, are deposited at the house of Mr. John Bensemann, Upper Moutere, for a period of forty days from the date hereof, as required by the Act, where all persons interested in the said alterations may inspect the same, and any person objecting to such alterations, is hereby called upon to set forth in writing, addressed to the Secretary of the Board, within the above-named period, the nature of such objections.
No. 1.—To stop up a road in Upper Moutere, colored brown on the plan attached to this notification, and described as follows viz.—
That portion of a road commencing at a point about 10 chains from the north-west corner of section 76, square 2, and proceeding in a north-easterly direction for about 30 chains, and there joining a public road.
And to substitute in place thereof a certain other road 40 feet in width, colored red on the plan attached to this notification, and described as follows, viz.—
That portion of a road commencing at a point on the south-west boundary of the same section, 37 chains from the north-west corner, and proceeding in a north-westerly direction to a point 12 chains east from the same corner.
