PROCLAMATION.

By his Honor OSWALD CURTIS, Superintendent
of the Province of Nelson, in the Islands of New
Zealand, &c., &c., &c.

WHEREAS, by "The Protection of Animals Act,
1867," it is provided that no Game shall be
Hunted, Shot, Taken, or Killed in any part of the
Colony until the same shall have been proclaimed as
open for that purpose: Now, therefore, I, OSWALD
CURTIS, Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, in
exercise of the power and authority in me vested in
that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
Districts of Suburbs of Nelson and Motueka, as con-
stituted under the authority of "The Representation
Act Amendment Act, 1871," of the General Assembly,
shall be open for the purpose of Shooting Pheasants
during the month of July next, by persons duly
licensed under the above recited Act.

Given under my hand, and issued under the
Public Seal of the Province of Nelson, this
Third day of June, in the year of our Lord
One thousand eight hundred and seventy-
two.

LICENSES to Shoot Pheasants within the Districts
of the Suburbs of Nelson and Motueka, during
the month of July next, will be issued at this Office on
and after WEDNESDAY, the 19th instant.

Any person wishing to take out a License under the
Provisions of "The Protection of Animals Act Amend-
ment Act, 1868," to Shoot Pheasants on land in his
occupation, must forward to this Office a description of
the boundaries of such land before such License can
be issued.
