Superintendent\'s Office, Nelson,
21st November, 1870.

IT is hereby notified that it is intended, after the
expiration of two months from the date hereof, to
grant Leases for goldmining purposes of the Crown
Land within the district of the Nelson South-west
Goldfields, hereinafter described, viz.—

  1. A block of land, containing ten acres, more or
    less, situated at Murray\'s Creek, Buller Dis-
    trict. Applied for by G. C. Bowman, Mid-
    lothian Goldmining Company.

  2. A block of land, containing ten acres, more or
    less, situated at Murray\'s Creek, Buller Dis-
    trict. Applied for by Richard Nancarrow
    and others.

NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with the
provisions of the Goldmining Lease Regulations,
that the undermentioned applications for Goldmining
Leases have been withdrawn, viz.—

  1. James Wylde, Manager Engineers\' Company,
    sixteen acres two roods, situated at Moonlight
    Creek, Grey District.

  2. C. Taylor and party, sixteen acres two roods,
    situated at Kynnersley, Grey District.

  3. George William Moss and others, sixteen acres
    two roods, situated at Moonlight Creek, Grey
    District.

  4. Martin Kennedy, sixteen acres two roods,
    situated at Moonlight Creek, Grey District.

  5. John Hamilton, sixteen acres two roods, situated
    at Moonlight Creek, Grey District.

THE undersigned hereby gives notice that he intends
to apply to two or more Justices of the Peace at
a sitting to be held on Friday, the Thirteenth day of
January, 1871, at the Courthouse, WAIAU, in the
district of Amuri; for stopping up, diverting, and
opening the undermentioned Roads; and further, that
he will cause survey-plans of the several roads proposed
to be stopped up, substituted, or opened, together with
books of reference, to be deposited with the Clerk to
the Magistrates, Waiau, in the said district of Amuri,
and at the police station, Waiau.

No. 1. To open a new road, sixty-six feet wide, in
the Amuri district, colored pink on the plan attached
to this application, and described as follows:—

That portion of a road commencing near the foot
of the isolated hills at the south-west corner
of section No. 19; thence proceeding in a
south-westerly direction through sections
Nos. 27, 26, 25, 3, 2, 1, 102, all on the St.
Leonard\'s run, and continuing in the same
direction through sections Nos. 100, 101,
206, 205, 210, 209, 208, 214, 213, 219, 218,
223, 222, 113, and 128, all on the Culverden
run; thence across the river Pahau, and con-
tinuing in the same direction through sections
Nos. 53, 56, 288, 289, 290, 284, all on the
Balmoral run, and through certain Crown
Lands on the said Balmoral run to the
Hurunui bridge.

No. 2. To open a new road, sixty-six feet wide, in
the Amuri district, colored pink on the plan attached
to this application, and described as follows:—

That portion of a road commencing near Mouse
Point on section No. 203 on the Culverden
run, and proceeding in a southerly direction
through sections Nos. 203, 208, 207, and
213, all situato on the Culverden run until it
joins the above described road leading to the
Hurunui bridge.

No. 3. To stop up a road in the Amuri district,
colored blue on the plan attached to this application,
and described as follows:—

That portion of a road now in use, commencing on
section No. 203 on the Culverden run, near
Mouse Point, and leading to the first proposed
site of the Hurunui bridge.

No. 4. To stop up a road in the Amuri district,
colored blue on the plan attached to this application,
and described as follows:—

That portion of a road, now in use, commencing
on section No. 26 on the St. Leonard\'s run,
near the isolated hills, and leading by the
same road at Mouse Point to the first pro-
posed site of the Hurunui bridge.
