PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor OSWALD CURTIS, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS, by a Proclamation bearing date the 26th day of May, 1868, certain Lands therein described situate in the District of GOLDEN BAY, in the Province of Nelson, aforesaid, were declared to be a GOLDFIELD, under the Provisions of the Goldfields Act, and called "The Golden Bay Goldfield," and certain Rules and Regulations published in the Nelson Government Gazette, No. 28 of the 15th September, 1863, were declared to be in force in such Goldfields :

And, whereas, it is desirable to alter and amend the said Rules and Regulations.

Now, therefore, I, OSWALD CURTIS, Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, in exercise of the power and authority in me vested in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said Rules and Regulations shall be and continue in force until the 1st day of January, 1870, and no longer; and I do hereby further proclaim and declare that, from and after the said 1st day of January, 1870, the Rules and Regulations, published in the Nelson Government Gazette, No. 29, of the 8th day of June, 1868, and known as the Rules and Regulations of the Nelson South-west Goldfields, shall be in Force in the Golden Bay Goldfields.

Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Nelson, this Twenty-ninth day of November, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.
