THE Provincial Government of Nelson is prepared to receive proposals from persons willing to construct a PATENT SLIP, DRY DOCK, or FLOATING DOCK, in the Harbor of Nelson, and to keep the same in working order and available for the repair of shipping for a term of years.
The Superintendent is authorised by "The Patent Slip or Dry Dock Act, 1867," as amended by "The Floating Dock Act, 1869," to guarantee returns for the amount of capital expended on such work (not exceeding Β£25,000) at the rate of ten per cent. per annum for ten years.
Proposals, stating nature and cost of work proposed to be executed, to be addressed to the Provincial Secretary, Nelson, New Zealand.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Lease, dated 1st day of July, 1869, issued under the Agricultural Lease Regulations of the Nelson South-West Goldfields, in favor of JOHN JOHNSON, of Five Acres of Land, in the Buller district, being Section numbered 225, Square 141, has been cancelled, the provisions of the 13th clause of the above-mentioned regulations not having been complied with.

ANTONIO LARDI, of Totara Flat, River Grey, in the Province of Nelson, Storekeeper, is hereby authorised, under Section XIII of "The Goldfields Act, 1866," to construct and maintain a line of Tramway on Crown Lands commencing at the corner of Section 52, on Totara Flat, running along the surveyed line of roadway, and terminating on the said line of road opposite Section No. 6, on Totara Flat. And the said Tramway is, under the conditions herein following, hereby protected for the period of Three Years, from the 1st day of August, 1869; and the said ANTONIO LARDI is further authorised to charge the Rates as in the schedule annexed, on the conditions following:β

That the Tramway be maintained in efficient working order.

That in the event of the ground over which the Tramway is constructed proving auriferous, any person shall be entitled to work upon it, on first paying compensation, at a valuation, or making an equally good portion of Tramway.

That this protection shall apply only to the ground upon which the Tramway is constructed, and shall not effect the right of other persons to lay down Tramways on roads in any direction, or adjacent thereto.

That the ground, or any portion of it, shall be given up, at a valuation, any time the Government shall require it.
