IT is hereby notified for general information that
GEORGE JAMES SPARROW, Esq.,
has been appointed Deputy Inspector of Sheep, for the Massacre Bay District.

NOTICE is hereby given, that all persons claiming to be entitled to a Lease of Land at Mokihinui, under "The Coalfields Leases (Mokihinui) Act, 1863," must send the particulars of their claim to this Office within one month from the date hereof, and must take up and execute such Lease before the First day of August next, or their claim will be forfeited.

GOLD MINING LEASES.

Superintendent's Office,
Nelson, 19th June, 1869.

IT is hereby notified that it is intended, after the expiration of two months from the date hereof, to grant Leases for Gold Mining Purposes of the Crown Land within the District of the Nelson South Wost Goldfields, hereinafter described, viz :β€”

  1. A Block of Land containing Five Acres, Two Roods and Twenty-five Perches, more or less, situated North of Red Jacket, Brighton, applied for by ALEXANDER SUTHERLAND, and others, (Caledonian Company).

  2. A Block of Land containing Five Acres, One Rood, and Twenty-six Perches, more or less, situated at Daylesford Terrace, Brighton, applied for by JOHN HARROLD and THOMAS CURTAIN, (Golden Hope Company).
