Nelson, March 20, 1869.
IN accordance with the provisions of "The Nelson Waste Lands Act, 1863," Section 9, Notice is hereby given, that the undermentioned portions of the Waste Lands of the Crown within the Province of Nelson, have been reserved by the Wasto Lands Board for public purposes :—
For Quarantine.
All that Parcel of Land, containing by admeasurement One hundred and twenty Acres, be the same more or less, situated in the District of Astrolabe, being Section Numbered 90, on Square 9 on the plan of the Province of Nelson. Bounded on the Northward by Section numbered 85, on Square 10, (1900 links); on the Eastward, by the Astrolabe roadstead; on the Southward by Section numbered 91, on Square 9 (4000 links); and on the Westward by Crown Land (4900 links). Also,
For Purposes of Ferry.
All that Parcel of Land, containing by admeasurement Forty Acres, be the same more or less, situated in the District of Hampden Suburban. Bounded on the Northward by the banks of the river Matakitaki; on the Eastward, by the banks of the river Buller; on the Southward by Fairfax-street; and on the Westward by Essex-street.

IN accordance with the provisions of "The Nelson Waste Lands Act, 1863," Section 9, Notice is hereby given, that the undermentioned portions of the Waste Lands of the Crown, within the Province of Nelson, have been reserved by the Waste Lands Board for public purposes :—
As Gravel Reserves.
The Eastern half of the Island at the Waimea Mud-flat, known as the "Rough Island."
Also a block of One Hundred Acres of the "Rabbit Island," having a frontage of about forty chains to the boat channel, by a depth of about twenty-five chains, and situated at that part of the South side of the Island, where the river Waimea is forded on going to the Island.
Public Purposes generally.
All that block of land containing by admeasurement Fourteen Acres be the same more or less, situated at the junction of the river Mangles, with the river Buller, bounded Northward and Eastward by the banks of the river Mangles, southward by a line from the peg No. 650, to the peg on the banks of the Buller, No. 60, and Westward by the banks of the river Buller.

IN accordance with the provisions of "The Nelson Waste Lands Act 1863," Section 54, Notice is hereby given, that a block of land in the district of the Chatterton, comprising ten acres, and lying to the northward of Section 69, on Square 82, of the plan of this Province being included within a Depasturage License held by H. P. de La pasture has been sold. And that the operation of such License over the said block of land will cease and determine at the expiration of three months, from and after the date of this Gazette.

I, THE undersigned JAMES WYLDE, hereby make application to register "The Moonlight Quartz Mining Company, Registered," under the provisions of "The Mining Companies' Liability Act, 1865," and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely :—
- The name and style of the Company is "The Moonlight Quartz Mining Company Registered."
- The place of intended operations is at the Moonlight Creek, Grey district, in the Province of Nelson.
- The nominal capital of the Company is Eighteen Hundred Pounds, in one hundred and eighty shares of Ten Pounds each.
- The amount already paid up is Eighty Pounds.
- The name of the Manager is James Wylde.
- The Office of the Company is in Tainui-street, Greymouth.
- The names and several residences of the shareholders and the number of shares held by each, at this date, are as follows :—
