IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW
ZEALAND, NELSON DISTRICT.
In the matter of "The Bankruptcy Act,
1867," and in the matter of THOMAS
FIELD, of Westport, in the Province of
Nelson, in New Zealand, Ironmonger.
NOTICE is hereby given that by a Deed
bearing date the 8th day of February,
instant, made between the said THOMAS
FIELD, of the first part, HUGH MCNEIL, of
Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, in New
Zealand, aforesaid, Ironmonger, and THOMAS
BIRT ULPH, of the same place, Ironmonger,
of the second part; all the Creditors either
in their own right or in co-partnership of
the said THOMAS FIELD, who shall execute
or otherwise in writing assent to and approve
of the execution of the said Deed of the
third part, and all other the persons (if any)
who either in their own right or in co-part-
nership, are now in any matter Creditors, or
shall or may at anytime hereafter by trans-
fer of existing negotiable instruments become
Creditors of the said THOMAS FIELD of the
fourth part; the said THOMAS FIELD con-
veyed, assured, and assigned all his lands,
tenements, and hereditaments, and all other
his real estate and chattels real. And, also
all and singular his goods, wares, merchan-
dise, stock-in-trade, debts, monies, and other
personal estate and effects, whatsoever and
wheresoever, for, belonging, due, or owing
to him, (excepting the wearing apparel of him-
self, his wife, and children, and household fur-
niture, not exceeding in value in the whole
£50), unto the said HUGH MCNEIL and
THOMAS BIRT ULPH, their heirs, execu-
tors, administrators and assigns, according
to the nature of the said estate, UPON
TRUST, to permit and suffer the said
THOMAS FIELD to retain possession of the
said premises thereby assigned, and under and
subject to the supervision and control of the
Trustees to use, sell, and dispose of the same for
the purpose of carrying on the said business of
an ironmonger, at Westport aforesaid, for the
benefit of his Creditors: And notice is
hereby further given, that the said Deed was
duly executed by the said THOMAS FIELD,
on the eighth day of February, instant,
in the presence of, and the same is attested by
SAMUEL KINGDON, of the city of Nelson, in
the said province of Nelson, a Solicitor of
the Supreme Court of New Zealand, and the
same Deed was duly filed on the same day.

I, the undersigned, JAMES CON-
NOLLY, do hereby make application
to register the COSMOPOLITAN CEMENT
CRUSHING AND WATER COMPANY (Regis-
tered) under the provisions of the "Mining
Companies Limited Liability Act, 1865;" and
I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the
following statement is to the best of my
knowledge and belief true in every particular,
namely:—
- The name and style of the Company is
the "The Cosmopolitan Cement Crush-
ing and Water Company" Registered. - The place of operations is at Charleston,
in the Province of Nelson. - The nominal capital of the Company is
Two Thousand Eight Hundred Pounds
(2800), in Fourteen Hundred (1400)
Shares of Two Pounds (2) each. - The amount already paid up is One
Thousand Three Hundred and Forty-
five Pounds (1345). - The name of the Manager is James
Connolly. - The office of the Company is at Back
Lead, near Charleston. - The names and several residences of
the Shareholders, and the number of
Shares held by each at this date are
as follows:—
