10,400 links; thence by a line bearing 149°
magnetic, 18,000 links, to a peg marked
F on the banks of the River Grey; and
thence by the banks of the River Grey to
the peg marked Δ from which the boundary
commenced.

  1. All that piece or parcel of land con-
    taining by admeasurement 5,700 acres, be
    the same more or less, and bounded on the
    northward partly by a line running east
    and west magnetic, 27,500 links; and partly
    by the land last mentioned as excepted,
    3,350 links; on the eastward and southward
    by the banks of the River Grey; and on the
    westward by a line drawn from the letters
    A to B on the plan of the town of Cobden,
    19,600 links, the same being the south-west
    side of the street to the eastward of the
    Cemetery in the said town.

  2. All that parcel of land known as the
    Totara Flat, and containing by admeasure-
    ment 2,400 acres, be the same more or less,
    bounded on the northward and westward by
    the banks of the River Grey, on the east-
    ward by a reserve 14,000 links, and on the
    southward by a line drawn from the south-
    west angle of the said reserve to peg marked
    XV on the traverse of the River Grey,
    22,600 links.

Nelson, this eighth day of June, in
the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-eight.

PROCLAMATION.

By his Honour OSWALD CURTIS, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Nelson,
in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by a certain Proclamation
bearing date the thirty-first day of
July, one thousand eight hundred and
sixty-six, issued under the hand of ALFRED
SAUNDERS, Esquire, then Superintendent of
the Province of Nelson, certain Rules and
Regulations were made and declared to be
in force on the Nelson South-west Gold-
fields:

And whereas it is expedient to alter and
amend the said Rules and Regulations:

Now, therefore, I, OSWALD CURTIS, Super-
intendent of the Province of Nelson, in exer-
cise of the power and authority in me vested
on that behalf, do hereby proclaim and de-
clare that the said Rules and Regulations
shall be and continue in force until the
thirtieth day of June instant, and no longer;
and I do hereby further proclaim and declare
that, from and after the said thirtieth day
of June instant, the following Rules and
Regulations shall be in force on the Nelson
South-west Gold-fields.

Given under my hand and issued under
the public seal of the Province of
Nelson, this eighth day of June, one
thousand eight hundred and sixty-
eight.
