Also to stop up that portion of road in the Takaka District, running in a South Easterly direction between Sections numbered 152 and 153 of Square 11, and running in a North Easterly direction for a distance of about 17 chains and 1 chain in width; commencing at the North East extremity of the cross road running through the centre of Section No. 152 of Square 11, and which is colored blue on the plan accompanying this application.
And to substitute and open in lieu thereof a new line of road commencing at a point on the South East side of the cross road above described, being about 15 chains 4 links from the South West boundary of Section No. 152 of Square 11, and running in a South Easterly direction for a distance of about 17 chains and 33 feet wide, and which is colored pink on the plan accompanying this application.

NOTICE is hereby given, that a SITTING of the Hokitika Circuit Court, for the dispatch of Criminal and Civil Business, will be held at the Supreme Court House, Hokitika, on Tuesday, the fifteenth day of January next, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon;—at which place and time all persons under recognizances or otherwise bound to appear as prosecutors, defendants, or witnesses, are required to give their attendance.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified, that in accordance with the provisions of the 9th Section of the "Education Act, 1863," he has appointed the 28th day of January, instant, at twelve o'clock noon, for the election of THREE MEMBERS of the LOCAL COMMITTEE of EDUCATION, for the district of HOPE, in place of Messrs. Kearns, Kinzett, and Bartlett, whose seats in the said Committee have become vacant, and that the Election shall be held at the School House, Ranzau.
