ALTERATION OF ROADS.

THE Undersigned hereby give notice that they intend to APPLY to two or more Justices of the Peace, at a sitting to be held on Tuesday, 5th March, 1867, at the Court House, Nelson, for an ORDER for STOPPING UP, DIVERTING and MAKING the undermentioned ROADS; and further, that they will cause survey plans of the several roads proposed to be stopped up, substituted, and made, together with the books of reference and estimates, to be deposited on or before the 5th day of February, 1867, with the CLERK to the MAGISTRATES at Nelson; and those which refer to the district of Takaka, at the house of Mr. George Taylor, Constable for the District of Takaka.

PROPOSED ALTERATION OF ROADS IN BROOK-STREET VALLEY, SUBURBAN SOUTH DISTRICT, NELSON.

I.

1st. To stop up parts of a road in the Suburban South District, being the road leading from the cross road which bounds the western side of Section No. 1 of Square 18, to the commencement of Section No. 7 of Square 18, and which is shewn by blue color on the plan attached to this application, and is more particularly described as follows:β€”

  1. The portion of road leading from the cross-road above-mentioned through Section No. 1 of Square 18, for a distance of about 11 chains 52 links.

  2. The portion of road commencing at the east side of the ford, and passing, for a distance of about 10 chains 19 links, between Sections numbered 1 and 4 of Square 18.

  3. That portion of road running in a southerly direction for about 13 chains 65 links, and a further portion of about 9 chains 10 links, nearly in the same direction, and passing between Sections numbered 1 and 35 of Square 18.
