All Public Notifications which appear in this Gazette, with any Official Signature thereunto annexed, are to be considered as Official Communications made to those Persons to whom they may relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the undermentioned ALLOTMENTS of Land will be put up to PUBLIC AUCTION at the Crown Land Office, Nelson, on SATURDAY, the 8th day of April, 1865, at Twelve o'clock noon.

Ten per cent. of the purchase money to be deposited at the Sale, and the remainder to be paid within one month.

All the above Allotments of Rural Land are subject to a reservation for right of roads, the deductions for which have been made in the price as provided in the 34th clause of the Nelson Waste Lands Act, 1863.

The Nelson Provincial Council Buildings (depicted) were constructed beginning with the laying of the foundation stone on 26 August 1859, with the first Council meeting held there on 30 April 1861.

The buildings served Nelson for over a century before being demolished on 12 September 1969.
