Knight Commander of the Most
Honorable Order of the Bath, Go-
vernor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over her Majesty's Colony of
New Zealand, and Vice-Admiral of
the same, &c., &c.

IN pursuance of the power vested
in me by the "Boundaries of Pro-
vinces Act, 1858," I do hereby nominate and
appoint—

JAMES CROWE RICHMOND, Esquire,
Commissioner of Crown Lands in the Pro-
vince of Nelson, and

COURTENAY WILLIAM AYLMER THOMAS
KENNY, Esquire,
Commissioner of Crown Lands in the Pro-
vince of Marlborough, to be Commissioners
under the aforesaid Act, to ascertain and
report on the Boundaries between the Pro-
vince of Nelson and the Province of Marl-
borough, with the view to having such
Boundaries defined.

Given under my hand at the Govern-
ment House at Wellington, this
First day of April, in the year of
our Lord One thousand eight hun-
dred and sixty-five.

APPLICATIONS for DEPASTUR-
AGE LICENSES, in accordance with
the Regulations of the Nelson Waste
Lands Act, 1863, received by the Com-
missioner of Crown Lands during the
months of MARCH and APRIL, 1865.

J. W. MILES—District of Collingwood.
Bounded on the east by the Takaka
Range; on the north by the
head of Rocky River; on the
west by the Boulder River; on
the south by Clarke's River.
Estimated extent, 3,000 acres.
Deposit paid, £5.

G. W. W. LIGHTBAND—District of Colling-
wood.
Situated on the western side of the
Aorere River, directly opposite
the junction of the Slate River;
and southwards at the junction
of the Kaituna.
Estimated extent, 5,000 acres.
Deposit paid, £10.

C. FORD AND BROTHERS—District, the Cla-
rence.
Bounded on the east by Mr. White's
application; on the west by Mr.
Timm's run on the Clarence; on
the north by a line; on the south
by Messrs. Muntz's and Carter's
applications.
Estimated extent, 20,000 acres.
Deposit paid, £30.

WM. FAIRHALL—District, the Buller.
Bounded on the east by the Buller;
on the south by the Pararoa
Range; and on the north-west
by R. Waite's application.
Estimated extent, 3,000 acres.
Deposit paid, £5.

WALKER AND SONS—District, Golden Bay.
For all the unsold land lying be-
tween the River Takaka on
the east; on the north by high
water mark; on the west by the
River Anakaka; on the south by
a line along the foot of the
wooded ranges in Golden Bay.
Estimated extent, 2,000 acres.
Deposit paid, £5.

J. D. BRUCE—District, Golden Bay.
For all the unsold land lying be-
tween the River Anakaka on the
east, and the River Parapara on
the west; on the north by high
water mark; and on the south
by the foot of the wooded hills in
Golden Bay.
Estimated extent, 2,000 acres.
Deposit paid, £5.

WILLIAM PAGE—District of Takaka.
For all the unsold land lying be-
tween the River Waikaramumu
and Mr. Smart's section.
Bounded on the north by the
Waikaramumu; on the south by
private lands; on the east by
private sections; and on the
west by the wooded ranges.
Estimated extent, 1,500 acres.
Deposit paid, £5.

S. CARTER—District, the Baton.
For all the land situated on
each side of the River Baton,
and lying parallel to the same,
