NOTICE is hereby given, that a
SITTING of the SUPREME COURT,
for the despatch of all business accruing
under the provisions of "The Debtors and
Creditors Act, 1862," will be held at the
COURT HOUSE, Nelson, on TUESDAY, the
23rd day of MAY next, at TEN o'clock in
the Forenoon.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW

In the matter of "The Debtors and Cre-
ditors Act, 1862," and in the matter
of the Petition of CHARLES ELLIOTT,
of the City of Nelson, Printer, a
debtor.

On Wednesday, the 15th day of March, 1865.

UPON reading the Petition of the
above-named Charles Elliott, and the
several schedules and affidavits to the said
Petition annexed, and upon hearing Mr.
Hart, of counsel for the said Petition: It is
ordered that the said Petition shall be set
down for hearing at the Supreme Court
House, Nelson aforesaid, on the 23rd day of
May, now next ensuing: And it is further
ordered that in the meantime, and until the
said 23rd day of May next, the Estate and
Effects of the said Charles Elliott be placed
under sequestration in the hands of JOHN
SHARP, Registrar at Nelson of the Supreme
Court aforesaid, for the benefit of the credi-
tors of the said Charles Elliott, according to
the provisions of "The Debtors and Creditors
Act, 1862:" And it is further ordered, that
upon service of notice of this order upon the
several creditors named in the Schedule to
the said Petition, until the said 23rd day of
May next, or the further order of this Court
to the contrary, the Person and Estate of
the said Charles Elliott be protected from
arrest, execution, or other legal process.

In the matter of "The Debtors and Cre-
ditors Act, 1862," and in the matter
of the Petition of CHARLES ELLIOTT,
of the City of Nelson, Printer, a
debtor.

On Tuesday, the 24th day of MARCH, One
thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.

UPON reading the Petition of the
above-named Charles Elliott, and the
several schedules and affidavits thereunto an-
nexed, and the order herein of the 15th day
of March, 1865, and hearing Mr. Hart of
counsel for the said Petitioner: It is ordered
that upon notice of this order appearing in
the Nelson Provincial Government Gazette,
and being served upon the Creditors of the
said Charles Elliott. A meeting of the Cre-
ditors of the said Charles Elliott shall be held
in Nelson, on the Twenty-fourth day of
April next ensuing the date of this order, at
Eleven o'clock in the forenoon, at the COURT
HOUSE, NELSON, to recommend Trustees of
the Estate of the said Charles Elliott, and
to consider and recommend a mode of wind-
ing up the affairs of the said Estate.
