THE undersigned hereby gives
notice that he intends to apply to two or
more Justices of the Peace, having jurisdic-
tion within the Province of Nelson, at a sit-
ting to be held on Tuesday, the 15th day of
November now next, at the Court-house, Nel-
son, for an order for STOPPING UP and
SUBSTITUTING the undermentioned
ROADS, and further that he will cause sur-
vey plans of the roads proposed to be stopped
and substituted, together with books of refer-
ence and estimates to be deposited on or
before the 10th day of October next, with the
Clerk to the Magistrates at Nelson, and with
Mr. George Taylor, Constable of the Ta-
kaka.

TAKAKA DISTRICT.

To stop up a portion of road forming part
of the boundary between sections 172
and 201, 75 links wide, and about 18 1/2
chains long commencing at the north-
ern corner of section 201, and ending
at the main road line about 3 chains
from the eastern corner of the said
section 201.

And to substitute a road about 785 links
long and 75 links wide commencing
at the main road line, at a point about
9 chains in a southerly direction from
where it crosses the boundary line
between sections 172 and 128, and
proceeding in a direction about S. 79
deg. W. till it meets the old road line
at the division line between sections
128 and 172.
