ALTERATION OF ROADS.
THE undersigned hereby give notice that they intend to apply to two or more Justices of the Peace at a sitting to be held on Tuesday, 15th November, 1864, at the Court-house, Nelson, for an order for STOPPING UP, DIVERTING, AND MAKING the undermentioned ROADS, and further that we will cause survey plans of the several roads proposed to be stopped up, substituted, and made, together with the books of reference and estimates to be deposited on or before the 4th day of October, 1864, with the Clerk to the Magistrates at Nelson and with Mr. John Boyes, Constable for the District of Motueka.
1st. To stop up part of a certain road on the banks of the River Motueka, commencing at about twenty-six chains from the northern angle of section numbered 52, and proceeding about 86 chains along the banks of the river to a point about 23 chains from the south-west angle of section numbered 58.
And to substitute in the place thereof a certain other road in the said district, one chain in width, commencing from the road on the banks of the River Motueka, at the same point from which the road to be stopped is described to commence, and proceeding for about 60 chains in a south-west direction crossing sections numbered 52 and 58, to the road on the banks of the River Motueka.
2nd. To stop up part of a certain road in the Riwaka District, commencing from the northern boundary of sections marked A, on the plan of the district, and proceeding in a southerly direction to the road forming the southward boundary of sections numbered 13 and 61.
And to substitute in the place thereof certain other roads in the same district 75 links in width.
1st. The portion of road running between sections numbered 7, and 11, of 61, commencing from the road at the eastern boundary of said sections and terminating at section numbered 13, of 61, about 20 chains.
2nd. The portion of road running between sections numbered 44 and 45, commencing from the boundary of section numbered 41, and terminating at the road running between sections numbered 44 and 61, about 32 chains.
3rd. The portion of road running between sections numbered 41, 42, 15, and 12, and sections numbered 13, 14, and 45, commencing from the north-eastern boundary of section numbered 45, and terminating at the road forming the southern boundary of sections numbered 12, and 13, about 58 chains 50 links.
