REGULATIONS

FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF THE GOVERNMENT WHARF
AND SHIPPING ALONGSIDE THE SAME.

Issued under the authority of the "Government Wharf Act, 1862."

  1. The Lessee, or a man to be provided by him, shall assist in making fast or casting off all Vessels coming alongside or departing from the Wharf, except on Sundays.

  2. The Lessee shall at his own expense provide and keep two good and proper lamps at such places upon the Wharf, as shall be fixed upon for that purpose by the Provincial Engineer, properly lighted from sunset to sunrise every night.

  3. No Boats or Vessels of any kind will be allowed to be made fast to the steps or landing-place.

  4. No Vessels to be hauled alongside the Wharf without first obtaining permission from the Harbor Master in writing.

  5. No Vessel to be hauled off the Wharf without giving due notice thereof to the Harbor Master.

  6. All Vessels lying alongside the Wharf will be subject to the Harbor Regulations for the Port of Nelson for the time being, and to these regulations.
